PLANNING
To begin, decide on which skills you would like to learn. Open the corresponding standard operating procedures (SOPs) for each module below and make a list of any prerequisites (PRQs) you might need beforehand. Consider the skill bundles required for participating in specific laboratories at CU through the Linked Labs. Determine the order of skills you plan to learn. You cannot book multiple lab resources at the same time, so adjust your planned schedule accordingly. Sort the table or use the search box to filter the table. For more information see the FAQs.

CHECK OFF PRQs
If you have learned a beginner or advanced skill outside the Skills Center please discuss with a proctor to provide certification so that you can fulfill any PRQs for a targeted skill. If there are unlearned PRQs, add them to your list of skills to learn.

REGISTER FOR UNIVERSITY CREDIT
If you wish to complete modules for credit then determine total number of modules you plan to complete for the semester. See table below to calculate the number of university credit hours associated with your total planned number of modules. Register for university credit through your Buff portal. Register for MCDB 1234 or 3456 and select the amount of credit hours you plan to complete. Remember, module hours rollover and students can apply rollover module hours for subsequent semester credit if desired. You must complete 12.5 modules hours for each university credit hour you are enrolled so plan accordingly.

STUDY THE SOP, COMPLETE THE MODULE METHODS TASK, SUBMIT AND COMPLETE THE QUESTIONNAIRE
Once you have determined which skills to learn, download the standard operating procedure (SOP), familiarize yourself with the skill and equipment. Remember the SOPs are a guide for completing the MMT, not all supplies and equipment will be identical to the SOP. Using critical thinking, creative problem solving, collaborative thinking and patience are all skills needed to complete the MMT as the SOP will not perfectly match all available resources. Next, download the submission template  and complete the module methods task. Once completed submit your word file to the MMT Dropbox  for each MMT completed, when submitting your MMT for the first time you will be directed to complete the Post MMT Questionnaire before your upload.  A proctor will review your MMT, check that you completed the questionnaire, provide feedback and determine if you have successfully mastered the skill. If you need to make corrections or additions your MMT will be returned for revision. You will receive notification and a link to download your submission for editing and resubmission to the MMT Dropbox.
